A Brief Review
This book addresses ethical issues in the business world.
According to me this book is very engrossing. Once I started the book, I could not stop until I browsed through the entire book. Because I read only this book from start to finish on this topic, I cannot make a comment on its relative merits. But my impression is that it is an excellent book on the subject.
The concept of morality is explained and moral and ethical standards are defined and examined;  as the author devotes space to the topic and elaborates the information that the decision-maker must have if he or she is to apply morality to reality. It provides the reasoning and analytical skills needed to apply ethical concepts to business decisions. The author identifies different moral issues involved in the management of some of the specific problems faced in business.
An attempt is made to provide an understanding of the social, technological, and natural environments within which moral issues in business arise. Many actual case studies of moral dilemmas faced by businesses are discussed as examples.
The text is organized into four parts.
Part One provides an introduction to basic ethical theory.
Part Two examines the business system and the ethics of markets and prices. Ethical issues related to capitalist and socialist systems of production and distribution are examined in this part.
Part Three discusses environmental and consumer issues and related ethical dilemmas.
Part Four examines ethics of job discrimination and  the role of employee and employer  in the organization. The concept of caring organization is introduced in this part.
As the title of the text reveals, this book looks at understanding and addressing different ethical and moral issues faced by businesses.
